Directions from Baton Rouge: Take Airline Hwy south, turn right on Hwy 74 (Sno's Restaurant on the right) Center Stage is .9 miles on the right. Drive time: about 10 minutes from Highland Rd. Directions from I-10: Take Prairieville/Geismar Exit 173 turn south (towards Geismar) onto Hwy 73. Go 1 mile to Hwy 74 turn left, 2.6 miles to Center Stage on the left. Drive time: 6 minutes Directions from Gonzales: Take Airline Hwy north to Hwy 74 (Sno's Restaurant on the left) turn left, Center Stage is .9 miles on the right. Drive time: 5 minutes
NewSong's Christmas Eve Service  Unfortunately, we have no pictures to prove it, but over 200 people attended our Candlelight Christmas Eve Services held at Meadow's Chapel UMC in Prairieville, La. The evening was a unique combination of traditional Christmas Carols played to new arrangements by our praise band, a relevant Christmas message by Pastor Trey Harris and of course, Silent Night sung by candlelight. One long-time Methodist church member exclaimed, "This was the best Christmas Eve service I've ever been to. I really felt God's presence here tonight!" Thanks again to the congregation of Meadow's Chapel UMC for allowing us to use their sanctuary for NewSong's Christmas Eve service.
NewSong's Thanksgiving Service NewSong's Thanksgiving worship service and family Thanksgiving Dinner held at Gonzales First UMC. The meal was delicious, the fellowship even better and a wonderful time was had by all. Thanks to FUMC Gonzales for helping their new sister church by letting us use their beautiful Celebration Center.
NewSong's Preview Service a "Spirit Filled" evening What worshippers  had to say: "We really felt the presence of the Holy Spirit tonight. The music, the message and celebrating Holy Communion were all incredible!" "The Music and the sermon were outstanding! The excitement of a new church is contagi ous." "Truly Delightful Evening!" (quotes from comment cards) According to one UMC Conference Official's head count, 178 people attended NewSong's first preview service. It was a fantastic start which helped to kick-start this new ministry to the communities in Ascension Parish and South Baton Rouge.

NewSong on Old Perkins Road, is a brand new United Methodist Faith Community.  NewSong will be a place of vibrant worship, biblical preaching, family oriented ministry, missional action and community outreach. The worship music will be excellent, the family ministries exceptional, the preaching relevant and applicable to everyday life, the missions arm far-reaching and the community outreach inclusive and targeted towards people disconnected from God and church. It's all just beginning, so the vision is still being formed and the details are still developing.
