Lead Pastor

Pastor Trey Harris spent ten years in corporate sales before entering the United Methodist ministry. Having worked in the auto, funeral, publishing, and pharmaceutical industries, Trey has an appreciation of what working families go through trying to balance career, family and church responsibilities.
Trey and his wife Suzanne met while attending Centenary College of LA. They both sang in the Centenary College Choir and made several world tours with the Choir. They married after graduation in 1985. They have two children Jason (21) and Rebecca (18).
In 1993, Trey answered God's call on his life to enter the ministry. He quit his job in the pharmaceutical industry and he and Suzanne moved to southern Indiana where they served two small, rural churches. While pastoring in Indiana, Trey attended Asbury Theological Seminary. He was recently accepted into the Beeson Program at Asbury Seminary and and is pursuing his doctoral degree.
A life-long Methodist, Trey’s call to ministry is centered in biblical preaching and teaching and helping churches reach their God-given potential through worship, fellowship, teaching, Bible study, missions and evangelism.
Trey has served churches in South Indiana Annual Conference, Texas Annual Conference and Louisiana Annual Conference. He accepted the appointment to plant NewSong in June of 2007.
